TFT LCD

Thin-Film Transistor Techniques were commonly used in LCD mobile phones. TFT LCDs offer decent image quality, high resolution. Their viewing angles are not as good as it is supposed. Also, it is not clearly visible under direct sunlight due to glaring.

 Also, larger TFT displays consume more power and are not battery-friendly. But these are cheaper options, due to which companies like to give them in budget phones. These are heavily used in feature phones and low-priced smartphones.


IPS-LCD

IPS refers to In-Place Switching. Common IPS LCDs are considered much better than TFT. View this display from any angle, everything will look clear. That is, viewing angles are better in them.

Another feature is that IPS-LCD displays reduce battery consumption. Due to their presence in mobile, battery life increases. These displays are obviously costlier than TFT LCDs.

 Apart from this, the colors are more accurate. At the same time, colors are not as punchy as compared to AMOLED screens. This is the reason that companies usually prefer these over expensive smartphones.

OLED 

OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode. This is a new technology and is being used in mobile and monitor nowadays. It is technically filled with carbon-based organic material between 2 conducting sheets (cathode and anode).

 It is then closed from both sides. When an electric pulse is applied on both these sheets, light is produced from the filled conduction in the middle.

 The brightness and contrast of the display depend on the electric pulse. Compared to LCDs, they are much better. Then it is about any aspect like color, response or brightness.

AMOLED

AMOLED stands for Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode. It is also a variety of OLED displays, which has caught pace. It is also provide in high-end smartphones.

 Like the OLED, it is also a high-quality display, which has attractive features like better color coordination, lightweight, battery friendly.

The most important feature of this display is that its blacks are deep. In black, the black color appears to be completely black. Apart from this, colors are quite punchy.

Super AMOLED

Recently Samsung has used this display in smartphones like A6 +, J6. Actually, there is an advanced version of AMOLED, which Samsung has prepared in the name of 'Super AMOLED'.

Actually, it is a version of the OLED display made by Samsung. By the way, some experts believe that Super AMOLED has more punchy colors than AMOLED.

The display is the touchscreen on any smartphone. And there are two types of touchscreens.

Capacitive Touchscreen

Capacitive touchscreen technology consists of a glass layer coated with a transparent conductor. As soon as the capacitive touchscreen gets human touch, the pressure is created. It is a kind of electrostatic field and by this, a change in capacitance is identified.

It is then identified by the processor chip of a mobile. In the next process, it is passed on to the mobile software, so that the touch identities started working.

Resistive Touchscreen

The resistive touchscreen has 2 layers, with a conductive material in between. It acts as a resistance. When the finger is touched on this display, a circuit is made as soon as the touch is between the top and the bottom between the two.

This touch is identified by the processor chip of the mobile itself. It is identified by the mobile operating system after passing from there. Resistive touchscreens are less responsive than capacitive touchscreens. It sometimes requires something like a stylus or a pen.

 This technology is no longer commonly used in smartphones as it is quite outdated for now. However, You can now easily find this screen/display in an ATM machine.
