Earth Day is celebrated every year on 22 April worldwide. It was first celebrated in 1970. Its main objective is to make people aware of environmental protection. The theme of Earth Day this year is "Climate Action" .  While last year its theme was " Protect Our Species, ". This year marks 50 years of Earth Day Earlier, Earth Day was celebrated on two separate days, where 21 March was observed as International Earth Day, which was recognized by the United Nations.
