INS Vikramaditya is the Indian Navy’s largest short take-off but assisted recovery (STOBAR) aircraft carrier and warship converted from the Russian Navy’s decommissioned Admiral Gorshkov vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) missile cruiser carrier. INS Vikramaditya is a warship of 44,500 tonnes , 284-metres long and 60-metres high . Comparably, its length is equal to about three football fields and the height is about a 22-storey building.
