India Celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas 2021, Pays Tribute to War Heroes

India held Kargil Vijay Diwas on Monday, July 26, with accolades for the legends of the Kargil War. In 1999, the Indian military crushed Pakistan's endeavours to catch key statures in Kargil in 'Activity Vijay' (triumph).  Prime minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to say, "  “We remember their sacrifices. We remember their valour. Today, on Kargil Vijay Diwas we pay homage to all those who lost their lives in Kargil protecting our nation. Their bravery motivates us every single day...” .
