India Based SASMOS-GKN Aerospace JV Wins Multi-Million Dollar Contract From SAAB
Indian based SASMOS-GKN AEROSPACE JV bagged the contract and will be making BOEING-SAAB T-7A


SAAB has awarded a USD multi-million dollar contract to Fokker Elmo SASMOS Interconnection Systems Limited (FE-SIL), a joint venture (JV) between GKN Aerospace and SASMOS HET Technologies Limited based in Bangalore, India, to manufacture Electrical Interconnection Systems (EWIS) for the Boeing-SAAB T-7A trainer aircraft aft-section in the advanced jet that will train the next generation. FE-SIL will provide the needed wiring systems for the advanced aircraft's aft fuselage under the multi-year contract.


This deal will enhance FE-ties SIL's with Saab and Boeing by providing them with cost-effective, worldwide solutions.


The first EWIS ship-set is expected to arrive in 2022 from FE-Bangalore-based SIL's Centre of Excellence for Aircraft Harnesses. “We are happy and delighted that Saab has demonstrated trust in FE-capability,” SIL's SASMOS CMD Mr H G Chandrashekar remarked. We're thrilled to be a part of this initiative and to be a long-term partner for the world's most advanced aircraft.”
