Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir): To mark the 50th anniversary of India's triumph over Pakistan in the 1971 war, the Indian Army held a gathering for ex-servicemen at Shalateng Military Garrison. Around 160 retired military personnel and family members of deceased troops attended the event, which lasted a week. The purpose of this rally, according to Major General Sanjiv Singh Slaria, General Officer Commanding, Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo), is to make touch with Army Ex-Servicemen and settle their concerns. Major Slaria emphasized the importance of ex-contributions servicemen's when discussing their contributions "Ex-military personnel are an inextricable component of society. They continue to serve even after retiring from the police force in order to educate the public about the principles they learned throughout their 20-30 years of service."
