Soldiers from the Indian Army underwent rigorous training, strenuous exercise, and meditation amid the harsh temperature and terrains of Arunachal Pradesh's Eastern Sector, near the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

In the Tawang sector near the LAC, the soldiers also showed an exercise to deal with any danger from the Chinese side.

In the Tawang area near the LAC, troops performed a war practice to eliminate enemy tanks.

The Indian and Chinese military clashed in eastern Ladakh on May 5 last year after a deadly confrontation in the Pangong lake regions, and both sides steadily increased their deployment by sending in tens of thousands of soldiers and heavy equipment.

Following a fatal fight in Galwan Valley on June 15, last year, tensions grew.

The two parties concluded the disengagement process in the Gogra area in August and the north and south banks of the Pangong lake in February as a result of a series of military and diplomatic negotiations.

On October 10, the most recent round of military negotiations resulted in a deadlock, with both parties blaming one other for the deadlock.

The Indian Army stated in a forceful statement released after the 13th session of talks that its "constructive ideas" were not accepted by the Chinese side and that Beijing could not give any "forward-looking" solutions.

In the sensitive region, each side has between 50,000 and 60,000 troops deployed along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
