Uttarakhand government aims for strictest anti-copying law across the nation, life imprisonment,10 crores of fine for the copycat mafia. Read on!

The country's strictest anti-copying law is going to be implemented soon in Uttarakhand. In this, a provision has been made for life imprisonment, fine up to 10 crores to the copying mafia and up to 10 years in jail for the candidates who cheat in connivance with the copying mafia. If the Raj Bhavan stamps it before February 12, then this law will come into force from the Patwari-Lekhpal recruitment itself.


Substantial Action will be taken against copycat mafia

Any person, management of the examination center, coaching institute, printing press, any person involved in the conduct of the examination, found involved in paper leak or unfair means, will be punished with imprisonment for life and a fine of up to Rs 10 crore.

If an examinee is caught cheating, he will be punished with three years in jail and a fine of at least five lakhs. If the same candidate is found guilty again in other competitive examinations, then he will be punished with imprisonment of ten years and a fine of not less than 10 lakhs.

If any candidate is found cheating, he/she will be banned for two to five years from the date of filing of the charge sheet. If convicted, he will be debarred from all competitive examinations for 10 years. If a candidate is found cheating again, he will be punished for five to ten years and will be debarred from all competitive examinations for life.

Paper leak made a non-bailable offence, property will be attached

Now the crime of copying will become cognizable, non-bailable and non-compoundable in the state. Apart from this, whatever property the copycat mafia acquires by using unfair means, the government will confiscate it.

This Anti-copying provision which is strictest in the country follows up after intense agitation of the youth around the state.
