5. How they will be accustomed to Earth gravity again?
After returning, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore will undergo a process to help their bodies adjust to Earth's gravity. Having been in space for a long time, they’ll need time and care to get used to the change.
Medical teams will monitor their heart, muscles, bones, and nervous system closely. They’ll follow rehabilitation plans to rebuild muscle strength, bone density, and balance. They will also go through medical checks and participate in studies to understand the effects of space travel on the body.
In addition to medical care, they’ll receive psychological support to help them adjust back to life on Earth. This transition can be tough after living in space.
Their experiences will provide important data to improve astronaut health for future long space missions. They may also share their stories through debriefings and public talks, helping advance space exploration.
